TEXAS PECAN BOARD

Definitions
- Qualified Pecan Grower: A Pecan Grower who does not qualify for an exemption and is required by Texas State Law to pay the 1/2 cent ($0.005) per lb assessment.
- Exempt Pecan Grower: A Pecan Grower with less than 500 pecan trees or less than 15 acres of pecan trees is exempt from paying the 1/2 cent ($0.005) per lb assessment.

Qualified Pecan Growers under Texas Law are required to File Reports and Pay Assessments to the Texas Pecan Board (TPB). Assessments are due by the 10th day of each month.

Pecan Grower/First Handler Report Form

Fill out this form and pay the assessment if you are a Qualified Pecan Grower who sells pecans directly to the public and DOES NOT sell or transfer the pecans to a First Handler,

if you are a First Handler (Buyer, Handler or Processor).

File this Form with the Pecan Grower Report Form or give this form to your First Handler ONLY if you are not a Qualified Pecan Grower (see definition).

Pecan Grower Refund Request Form

If you paid an assessment as a Qualified Pecan Grower to either a First Handler or directly to the Texas Pecan Board and would like to request a refund, then please fill out the Pecan Grower Refund Request Form and mail it to the Texas Pecan Board.
