"I was recently made aware of an opportunity that you may want to share with members of the Pecan Board and growers throughout the state. Southern US Trade Association (SUSTA) is going to be participating in the Canadian Produce Marketing Show and will have 5 booths available for Texas producers who may be interested in exporting product into Canada. The trade show will be held in Toronto, Canada on May 12-14, 2020. Cost to participate is $1,525, but there is an early bird discount if registered before December 12. Final deadline for registration is February 12, 2020. There is also the possibility of a 50% cost-share reimbursement on the participation fee, travel costs for up to 2 company representatives and more!
To participate in this trade opportunity, the producer must be a SUSTA member. Registration to become a SUSTA Member is no-cost and can be done by completing a simple on-line application at www.susta.org. For more information about this Canada trade opportunity, please contact our SUSTA intern Kirby Bohls at (512) 475-0366 or by email atKirby.Bohls@texasagriculture.gov or Austin Van Hooser, TDA International Marketing Specialist atAustin.VanHooser@TexasAgriculture.gov.
What a great opportunity to get pecans in front of Canadians, open up a market for a pecan grower, and expand your business. On behalf of the Texas Pecan Board, I will offer our assistance along with our marketing firm Wild Hive for growers who want to try this new opportunity......
